Overview
Divemaster is more than a high-level recreational course. It is the point where your diving starts to include leadership, organization, and responsibility toward other people in the water.
Structured training with clear progression.
Planned around practical Red Sea learning days.
Clear pricing and direct booking path.
Training setup prepared around the course level.
Divemaster is the first professional level in the PADI system. It prepares you to work with instructors, support real divers, and understand how a dive operation runs day after day.
At Diving Star, the course is treated as a serious transition. You work on water skills, demonstration quality, leadership habits, and the practical rhythm of boat days, guest handling, and team responsibility.
What the training is really about
- Improving your personal diving standard
- Supporting courses and certified divers more professionally
- Learning how to organize, brief, and guide more clearly
- Building a realistic base for the next professional step
This course asks for commitment, time, and consistency. It suits divers who want a serious route, not just another certification card.

Need To Know
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Divemaster demanding?
Yes. It requires time, consistency, and a professional attitude, not just enthusiasm.
What can I do after completing it?
You can move into certain leadership roles, support instructors, or continue toward Instructor Development.
Is this suitable for every recreational diver?
It is best for divers who genuinely want responsibility, leadership, and a professional direction.
How long does the Divemaster course actually take?
The training minimum is around 10 boat days, but most candidates spread it across 2 to 4 weeks to gain real internship experience. Some stay longer for a stronger start to their dive career.
Do I need my own diving equipment?
Yes. Divemaster candidates are expected to work with their own personal set (BCD, regulator, computer, mask, fins, exposure protection). This is a professional standard, not a policy.
Can I work as a Divemaster in Egypt after certification?
Certification is the first step. Working legally in Egypt also requires CDWS registration and local paperwork. Diving Star can advise candidates who want to stay on after their course.
Is Divemaster the same as becoming a Dive Instructor?
No. Divemaster is the first professional level and focuses on guiding certified divers and assisting instructors. To teach courses yourself, you continue with the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and pass the Instructor Examination.

The PADI Divemaster felt well paced from start to finish. The team explained every step clearly and the in-water coaching made the full course easy to trust.
I booked the PADI Divemaster with Diving Star and it was handled professionally. Small groups, clear briefings, and a good balance between theory, practice, and boat time.
