Abu Nuhas is included because experienced divers know it well and often ask for it. Diving Star keeps it visible here, but the route is arranged separately from standard Daily Diving and depends on sea conditions and group demand.

Profil du site de plongée
Abu Nuhas is a reef known as the wreck graveyard of the Red Sea. Four classic wrecks sit on the north side at depths between 16 and 30 metres: the Giannis D, the Carnatic, the Chrisoula K (tiles wreck) and the Kimon M (lentils wreck). A typical Abu Nuhas day gives two dives on two different wrecks, plus a reef safety stop on the south side where the reef wall drops into the blue. The reef itself is coral-rich and alive with fish, so even divers less interested in wrecks enjoy the site.
Faune marine possible
Glassfish, anthias and butterflyfish populate every wreck. Lionfish, moray eels and scorpionfish shelter in the metal structures. On the reef side, the usual Red Sea roster appears: napoleon wrasse, parrotfish, jacks in the blue, and occasional reef sharks in deeper sections.

Spring and autumn. The northern position means this is one of the first routes to cancel in winter wind. Summer is possible but the long boat transfer is more comfortable in shoulder seasons.
Conditions habituelles
Visibility 20 to 35 metres. Current can be moderate to strong depending on tide. The wrecks require solid buoyancy and briefing attention - some sections are broken and silty. Nitrox 32 is recommended for improved bottom time across two wreck dives.
Organisation et points pratiques
Diving Star valide le plan de plongée le matin du départ selon le vent, le courant et le niveau des plongeurs présents. Deux plongées par jour est le format standard, avec un déjeuner à bord entre les deux. La location de matériel est à 20 € par jour pour les plongeurs certifiés qui ne voyagent pas avec leur propre équipement.
Conseils pratiques pour la plongée
Choose the wrecks before departure if you have preferences - Giannis D has the classic tilted hull shot, Carnatic has the most atmospheric internal structure. Keep away from the reef wall on ascents; the current often pushes divers onto the coral if not monitored.
