The Ocean Diver course covers all the essential skills and knowledge you need to become a competent and safe diver. You’ll learn about dive planning, dive equipment, and underwater communication, and practice these skills in a controlled environment under the guidance of experienced instructors.
One of the great things about the Ocean Diver course is that it’s designed to be accessible to everyone. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer or have any prior diving experience to take the course. All you need is a desire to learn and a willingness to work hard.
The course starts in our boat where you’ll learn about the theory of diving, dive planning, and dive equipment. You’ll then move on to practical sessions where you’ll learn how to use the equipment and practice diving techniques in a shallow water.
Once you’ve mastered these skills, you’ll take part in four open water dives, each lasting around 30-40 minutes. During these dives, you’ll put your new skills into practice and explore the beautiful underwater world of the Red Sea. You’ll dive to a maximum depth of 20 meters (66 feet), which is the maximum depth allowed for an Ocean Diver.
Throughout the course, you’ll be supervised by experienced BSAC instructors who will provide guidance and support to help you become a safe and confident diver. They’ll also ensure that you have fun and enjoy your diving experience.
By the end of the Ocean Diver course, you’ll be able to dive safely with a buddy to a maximum depth of 20 meters (66 feet). You’ll also have a solid understanding of dive planning, dive equipment, and underwater communication, which will serve as a foundation for further diving training.
